Veronica Maturino

ONABEN's CEO

Veronica Maturino, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ONABEN and advocates for small business, women and girl empowerment, and the financial health of all individuals. Veronica oversees ONABEN's operations, conceptualizes ONABEN's innovative products and services, manages communications efforts, and acts as the organization's primary representative. As the leader of the organization, Veronica  was named the Minority Business Advocate of the Year in 2010 by the Native American Business Enterprise Center; has been recognized twice as a 40 Under 40 winner by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development; was recognized as a "Woman on the Move" by ABC in 2017; was honored for "Making a Difference in the Lives of Women and Girls" by the Oklahoma Journal Record in the fall of 2018, and most recently served as an appointed member of the SBA's Council on Underserved Communities, where she acted as the chair of the Access to Capital and Resources Committee. Veronica is a strong supporter of ONABEN's program participants and actively communicates ONABEN's narrative, highlighting the successes not of their work, but of the peoples and places that their work serves.  As ONABEN's CEO, Veronica creates the momentum that propels the team forward.

Debbie Guthrie

Budget Analyst

Debbie Guthrie  serves as the Budget Analyst for ONABEN, bringing over 20 years of experience in managing accounting processes for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. With a diverse skill set, she provides invaluable one-on-one support to participants in ONABEN's entrepreneurial program. As a Certified Credit Coach, Debbie has empowered many individuals to achieve their financial goals by helping them improve their credit scores. A proud citizen of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma—Boomer Sooner! Steadfast in her dedication, Debbie remains a reliable anchor for our team in an often chaotic environment.

Alisan Fisher

Training Specialist

Alisan Fisher leverages over a decade of legal experience to provide specialized Technical Assistance to entrepreneurs starting their businesses. Her expertise spans business registration, including LLC formation, EIN acquisition, and sales tax permits, as well as business plan development and loan application support. As a Training Specialist for Onaben, Alisan is passionate about helping entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of business ownership, offering the knowledge and patience needed to guide them through every stage of the process.

Chase Vanover

Sales & Training Specialist

Chase Vanover,is a dedicated Training Specialist at ONABEN, a nonprofit organization that empowers entrepreneurs through comprehensive training programs and business services. With three years of experience at ONABEN, Chase has played a pivotal role in supporting business growth and development by providing strategic insights on market expansion. Chase's background includes extensive experience in sales and service work, which has refined their ability to connect with diverse clients and understand the unique needs of businesses. This diverse skill set, combined with a credit counseling certification, allows Chase to offer a holistic approach to advising entrepreneurs, focusing not only on market opportunities but also on financial health and sustainability. Outside of work, Chase loves fishing and tries to hit the water at least twice a week. A passionate outdoor enthusiast, Chase enjoys spending time with family and embracing the beauty of nature whenever possible.

Jody Young

Communications & Graphic Design Artist

Jody Young serves as the Graphic Designer at ONABEN, and strives to empower entrepreneurs through comprehensive design services and business support. With over a decade of experience as a freelance designer, Jody has played a pivotal role in helping entrepreneurs build their brands by designing websites, logos, and other marketing materials. Jody's background includes extensive experience in art and graphic design, which has refined her ability to connect with clients and understand the unique needs of businesses. This diverse skill set, combined with her passion for art and design, allows Jody to offer a well-rounded approach to advising entrepreneurs, focusing not only on aesthetic appeal but also on functionality and user experience. Patient and more than willing to walk beside each entrepreneur, Jody ensures they feel comfortable making design decisions and navigating their websites. Jody finds joy in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and embraces the beauty of creativity and collaboration at every opportunity. Outside of work, Jody loves creating art, spending time with loved ones, and experiencing the beauty and creativity that surrounds her each and every day.
